Sarah Lollar is Gardner and Mendoza’s Spanish speaking associate attorney. Sarah practices immigration law exclusively and has extensive experience working on matters involving family based immigration, employment based immigration, and removal proceedings.
Sarah is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), DC Chapter, and assists yearly with Citizenship Day in Hampton Roads. She is also a frequent guest of several Spanish language radio programs in the Hampton Roads area, providing listeners with important immigration updates and information regarding available immigration benefits. Sarah was named a 2019 Top Lawyer for Coastal Virginia Magazine and CoVaBIZ for the field of immigration law.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Sarah moved to Virginia Beach in 2016. Prior to her move to Virginia Beach, Sarah was a resident of both San Diego and Peru for several years. Sarah earned her B.A. in Anthropology and Archaeology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2012 and her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2016.
During her time in law school, Sarah was a member of the Immigration Law and Justice Society and spent over two years working at her university’s Immigration Clinic, where she was awarded the Graduation Award for Outstanding Clinic Intern.
Outside of work, Sarah is a member of the Hermitage Young Associates Board and is often found at the Hermitage’s ceramics studio throwing on the wheel. Sarah also enjoys surfing with her husband, Chip, hiking with her pup, Tallulah, and getting away to snowboard when she can.
Sarah is a member of the Virginia State Bar and is admitted to practice in all Virginia state courts as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Virginia.
